Photos: Printed Matter Los Angeles Art Book Fair 2026

In no particular order, some photos I took at the book fair with my Camp Snap.

A distant shot of a glossy concrete floor. There's a big plywood billboard in the center of it that reads: Bringing death, mimicking life.
Looking down at the second level of this huge building from the third level. It's part of the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena.
A bunch of prints clipped to a stand, including one that reads: BORN TO RISOGRAPH - WORLD IS A DUPLICATOR

Sad this one is so blurry. It was the last photo I managed to take before the battery finally died. I got about 300 photos plus a couple months of accidentally leaving the camera turned on with a single charge! These are from Nova Community Arts who are right up the street from me in Atwater.

Lots of handmade block prints on fabric suspended from what appears to be a haphazard stack of corrugated metal storage containers outside
An outsized outdoor setup by Bread + Puppet Press
A sleek silver car behind velvet ropes, the hood and one gull-wing door aloft
I assume this custom Bugatti is part of the space and not part of the fair but it was here and looked cool.
A few abstract prints pinned to a wall
Amy attested that these were dogs.
killer-acid
mylar
nighted-supercenter
Look at those letters! I don't know what "NIGHTED SUPERCENTER" means, it feels like a captcha phrase in a good way

I wish I had taken note of who more of these artists were.

Prints pinned to a wall that all have a similar funny-pages aesthetic, bold black lines and characters with big dark eyes
A vendor purveying handmade art in a bold, hand-to-marker style
A large framed print of a topographic photo splattered with 1/4-inch plugs. Among them some are connected by thick cables in different colors.

This one I did note, it's Payahuunadu Interactive Sound Map by Metabolic Studio. I was too nervous to actually move the patch cables around but I enjoyed watching other people do it to affect the soundscape.

A busy installation of flyers and painted canvases from eye level down the floor and spilling out over it. Among the prints there is space for a modest projection.
Really liked this use of a projection amid physical prints.
A rough DIY assortement of culture-clashing merch, including a tshirt with Snoopy's brother Mortimer that reads WE EAT GOOD MY GUY

I saw "We Eat Good My Guy" on the map and knew I was in for a treat when we found this booth.

A folding table covered with a sheer blue tablecloth conceals a tiny desk with a tiny lamp on a green carpet. People stand around the table, maybe unaware of the opportunities beneath it.
Guests were invited to crawl under this table and fill the pages of a blank zine for themselves.
